Being in the hospitality business a I am always thinking of ideas for team building. One of the ideas I had was cocktails. I know you are probably thinking why cocktails and how will they help build team spirit. The way to use cocktails for team building is a fun way for everyone to come together this way they can learn to make cocktails work as a team and still have a drink at the end of it. For this all you need is a cocktail mixologist/cocktail flairer and ingredients for the cocktails that you want to try. Start of with teams. The cocktail flairer will show you a cocktail.

The teams have to watch and learn how and what he did. Once they have seen the way a cocktail was made you send them of to try and recreate the same or something with a little twist. They will have to work together as a team to remind each other what to do to recreate the cocktail. They can all take it in turns to make new cocktail. The team with the best tasting and presentation wins. While they are trying out these cocktails they can try all the drinks and have fun trying to through bottles around. Each time there is a new cocktail to be made they can select a different team leader.

When leading a team it is important that everyone gets involved. You do need to have at least 3 judges. As well having the responsibility of tasting the cocktails (the best job) they will have to go around to observing how the teams work together. This will also give them a chance on picking out good team leading skills and on how everyone works together. Make sure that you change the teams around you don’t want anyone getting too comfortable working with the same people.
