Mayor of London Names New Cocktail
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson unveiled a new blue cocktail when he visited the premises of Mobile Bar Hire to mark it’s 10th anniversary. Created along with bar manager Aman Bains, Mr Johnson named the cocktail ‘The Bexley Breeze Block’ and encouraged the “entrepreneur spirit” demonstrated by the family-run business based in Dartford and Bexley.
Mobile Bar Hire provides portable bars, drinks hire and more entertainment options for nationwide events in both the private hire and corporate hire sector. The business recently provided the facilities for a welcome reception for the Australian Olympic team in Stratford. Mr Johnson congratulated the successful business and praised the company directors, brothers Avtar Singh Sandhu MBE and Ragbhir Singh Sandhu, for demonstrating “the can-do spirit”. Addressing the event, Mr Johnson said: “Mobile Bar Hire Limited is a classic example of a local family run business, who have great ideas, passion and commitment to drive business forward. This is the type of entrepreneur spirit to drive business and jobs forward.” He then unveiled a commemorative plaque at the premises.
The 10th anniversary celebrations of Mobile Bar Hire were attended by several other local business executives such as local business executives and included the Leader of Bexley Council Councillor Teresa O’Neill. Avtar Singh Sandhu MBE expressed his gratitude at the mayor’s visit: “Having hosted some great events over the years, the Mayor’s visit to our office was overwhelming. Our plans have always been to work with exhibitions centres and private events nationwide, our relationship with venues such as Glow, Bluewater is on the increase and the Mayor’s visit is a real endorsement on the company.”
